In a new special episode of The Grand Tour Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May cross the vastness of Mongolia on an entertaining and hilarious off-road adventure.

For Episode 13 of the 3rd season, The Grand Tour explores Mongolia with a one of a kind vehicle. The trio is tasked with building an off-road car from 3 boxes of parts. They proceed to build the machine and trek across the unique and beautiful landscape of Mongolia. The catch is they only have enough food for 7 days and the producers did not include a drop of wine, beer, or spirits. The trip ultimately becomes about reaching civilization so they can have a drink. But really what’s new?

The banter from the classic trio is hysterical and they proceed to get the home-built off-roader stuck plenty of times, which just eggs them on.

The scenic overviews are simply outstanding and cinematic footage of rarely seen Mongolia is almost unbelievable.

The Grand Tour: Mongolia Special Montage

I would really rather you watch the episode than to give away spoilers and detail every minute of the hour and a half long film. So please go watch it if you haven’t! I highly doubt you will regret it. Even non-car enthusiasts will be glued to the screen.

Clarkson called the Mongolia trip the most grueling and arduous journey they crew has ever done. It was quite a feat and one that will not be forgotten soon. Especially since they have more special excursions planned for Season 4 of The Grand Tour. (Yes there will be a season 4!)

The ending to the journey was abrupt and we didn’t get to see any of the Mongolian town called Moron, but I didn’t mind. It wasn’t about the destination and getting that first sip of beer in 7 days. It was about the incredible journey. And boy was it incredible.
